So What Cha Want*

Sorry to disappoint anyone looking for the breda of bullets bacon & books but this ain't no gunblog, honey.

(tools will be incidental. eating and reading will remain negotiable.)

I'm not sure what this will become but I know for certain what it won't. So - rules is rules:

Version 2.1:
  • will not scour the internet for content. Not. Under any circumstances.
  • will not argue with idiots. Idiot status shall be determined using my own set of qualifications, which will remain a secret and may be subject to change.
  • will delete, with utter abandon and childlike glee, any trollish comments.
  • will graciously accept constructive criticism although probably not in the comment section - because this is not a forum and I'm lazy.

I don't know what I'm doing, except this.

  1. Everyone should use those rules, the Blogosphere would be better for it.

  2. "Insert Trollish Text here." Left for the sole purpose of giving Breda some childlike glee.

  3. I was having such a soul-crushing kind of day. I decided that I may as well do my quarterly check of Facebook, and discovered a new Breda blog. The day is noticeably better already!

  5. Eating and reading are two of my favorite things. Glad they're still negotiable.

  11. Understand you will blog about what you decide to blog about, that is every bloggers choice.

You seemed very much into firearms and the fact that are no longer going to blog about them got me to wondering: Have you given them up and thus don't want to blog about them any longer or do you still enjoy shooting? Just curious since it seems a fairly big change.

    All the best,

    1. Glenn, I still own, shoot and carry guns. However, the idea of writing another gun-centric blog bores me. Besides, many other bloggers do it much better (and with much more joy) than I do.

    2. Oh well, our loss but you have got to blog about what you like blogging about, otherwise your heart would not be in it.

      All the best,

  12. FWIW, I think blogging gets stale for most folks after a while. If your motivation is to become a "professional writer!" (meh) it might be easier to keep yourself going. If not, well, you have to feel like what you have to say might be helpful or useful or just stuff other people wouldn't think of. It has to be interesting to you or it won't be interesting to anyone else. If it's not honest, or not real, or just perfunctory, it rattles like a marble dropped in a 55 gallon drum.

Back in February, as I approached my 2 year, I decided to start over, with "1/3 less gloom and doom!!" and talk about the things I find to be fun. As Peter told me, "You go on doing your thing on the blog. That way, you'll enjoy doing it, and the rest of us will enjoy you enjoying it.".

    FWIW.

  15. how did i miss this? your whole new place, i mean. doesn't matter, cause i have found you now and i am happy about it.

i am a few months into my 5th year of not knowing what i'm doing, of still saying i have nothing to say. i think when you know that, you're a step or two headed in the right direction.
